I'm fundraising for a great cause!
I have decided to take on this challenge to help R U OK? to spread their message and help prevent suicide.
About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.
For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide. These people including people of all ages, gender and background.
89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.
I want to help change these numbers.
As someone who has attempted to take my own life, and known others who have to, this cause is very important to me. Without the help of doctor's, mental health professionals, research and awareness surrounding suicide, me and many other people around the world would not be alive today. R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.
Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.
By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.
Thank you so much for your support, together we will make a difference.

DAY 2
Tuesday 16th Apr ok so it is day 2 of my vow of silence, and here is my update. The first day was definitely really hard, mainly because by impulse when someone talks to me it is instinct to reply lol. BUT, it is getting easier. Iv found that medication and music help keep the silence easier. anyway i’m getting tired but i will continue updating you <333 Share3 april 2022
Friday 29th Mar29 march 2022
Friday 29th Mar For every 8 people who die from suicide in Australia daily, another 30 people attempt to take their life. Two years ago today I joined this group of people, but thankfully due to the doctors and people in my life I survived. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped raise money for this fundraiser, and if anyone you know is struggling make sure they know it’s OK to not be OK. Ask your friends and family if they are OK today, together we can stop loosing people to suicide. ShareWhy am I doing this fundraiser?
Monday 4th Mar After being asked a lot I thinks it’s time to share why i’m doing this fundraiser. Around the world the suicide rates are awful, with 8 people a day passing in just australia alone. This is any age, gender and background. Most people in their life struggle with these kind of thoughts at least once, myself included. In 2022 I attempted to take my life, and without the support of doctors the chances of me making it would have been very low. This is why this cause it’s so important and dear to me, iv known people who have attempted, and nearly died from this awful thing and I have nearly died from it at just 13. By sharing awareness and getting funding for research around suicide we can stop loosing our friends and family from this. So please share this page, donate and support anyone who is struggling. Remember it’s not always obvious someone is thinking about this, so ask R U OK? together we can stop suicide. Sharenearly at $200!!
Sunday 3rd Mar after going around my neighborhood a bit, messaging ALL my friends and posting everywhere i’m so glad to say we are nearly at the $200 mark after just one day!! thank you so much to everyone who is donating <3 i can’t wait to see how much money we can raise for this amazing cause ShareLet’s stop the vow of silence
Saturday 2nd Mar Hi! I’m Parker, i’m 15 years old and I live in Australia. The thing is I LOVE to talk, so therefore to spread awareness for this cause i’m not going to for a week. Silence regarding mental health is the reason so many peaple lose there life and hopefully this challenge shows that we need to stop everyone’s vow of silence. During the vow I will be sharing how staying quiet is affecting my mental health, to show how dangerous it is. If anyone would like to join me I will be silent from the 15th-22nd of april 2024. Please share, donate, and spread as much awareness as you can!! Together we can stop losing peaple to suicide. ShareThank you to my Sponsors

We are very proud of you Parker. You have been to hell and back and become stronger because of it. You are very brave for mentioning this to everyone to allow others to get the help that they need. We realise that depression will never disappear but doing things like this will help you and others in many ways. Very very proud of you xx
