I'm fundraising for a great cause!
Hey UQ community! On Thursday the 14th of September, UQLIT, UQ Social Runners Club, UQEUS and UQ Wellbeing will be once again hosting a fun run (or walk!) fundraiser, all about inspiring everyone to ask that simple but important question, "are you OK?" and start a conversation that could change a life.
We believe in the work of R U OK?, an organisation working to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people in their world and lend support when they are struggling with life.
Conversations that are geared towards helping people feel supported and connected can make a difference. When we invest more time in our relationships, it can make it easier for people to speak up, access help if needed and access it early. That's why at our fun run we'll be encouraging everyone to make staying connected and asking "are you OK?" a part of their every day.
Please come along to enjoy a relaxed and energising run/walk. Afterwards, we will be providing some snacks and drinks. We will also hold a bake sale with all the money raised going to our fundraising pool. What’s more, one lucky attendee will win an R U OK duffle bag! We will be able to supervise your belongings while you run/walk!
We would love if you could wear something yellow and make a gold coin (or more!) donation to support a great cause. We will also be accepting donations on the date through cash or card.
This event is open to any student, regardless of the society you are a member of. Even if you don’t want to participate, please support the event by sharing the event or the link to this page.
