At Geosurv, our people spend most of their time working on project sites, often in small crews or independently. Whether you're in the field, at the warehouse or in the office, looking out for one another is part of what makes us a strong team.
Construction, surveying and infrastructure can be demanding industries. Long days, changing project pressures and time away from family can all take a toll, and it's not always obvious when someone is doing it tough.
Every day in Australia, around 8 people lose their lives to suicide. For every life lost, it's estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide, and almost 9 in 10 Australians know someone who has made an attempt.
We want to be part of changing those statistics.
R U OK?'s vision is a world where we're all connected and protected from suicide. Their message is simple but powerful: take the time to genuinely ask, "Are you OK?", listen without judgement, encourage action where needed, and check in again.
At Geosurv, we believe looking after our people goes beyond physical safety, it includes looking after each other's mental wellbeing too. A simple conversation on site, in the ute, over a coffee or at lunch could make a real difference to someone's day, or even their life.
