I'm fundraising for a great cause!

I have decided to take on this challenge to help R U OK? to spread their message and help prevent suicide.

About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.

For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.

89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.

I want to help change these numbers.

R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.

Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Thank you so much for your support, together we will make a difference.

RU OK Day - Support Our Town Centre Community

Wednesday 8th Sep
Our Community Manager Alastair Kidd has set an  accumulative challenge for the local community of Wentworth Point Marinas  to reach  1000kms of total exercise over the next two weeks to raise money and support the RU Ok day cause.
RU Ok day is on Thursday the 9th of September 2021

I have decided to take on this challenge to help R U OK? to spread their message and help prevent suicide.

About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.

For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.

89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.

I want to help change these numbers.

R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.

Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

We can connect with each other through exercising (Covid-safe, of course). Ask your friend of family member RU OK? and begin a conversation that aligns with OTC motto 'let's take care' of one another in our community.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Join me be either donating to reach the goal of $1000 raised towards the RU OK Day cause or you can simply join me in doing some daily exercise during lockdown and then record this exercise onto the Our Town Centre Wentworth Point challenge page.

Thank you so much for your support, together we will make a difference.
