Pammie - The Beacon Of Love

By Bronwyn LAWRENCE Join Me

I'm fundraising for a great cause!

Suicide prevention is a cause that means a lot to me.

Every day 8 Australians take their own life.

I believe that’s 8 too many.

I have started this page both as a tribute to a loved one lost and as a beacon of hope in the fight against suicide.

R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.

Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

In memory of my beautiful step mum Pammie who truly was the beacon of love. Not just to her family and friends but all around her. She touched so many.

I want to raise the awareness of the importance of asking R U OK?

Not just in R U OK? month  but regularly asking those around us.

1. Ask R U OK?

2. Listen

3. Encourage action

4. Check in

The message this year is R U Really OK? Who are you going to ask today? These conversations could  save life’s.

For R U OK? Month, I’m taking on some challenges going sober and not using social media for the month of September to help raise funds for the organisation.

If you’re able to contribute it be greatly appreciated but most importantly. Let’s ask R U OK? To all those around us.

If you’re struggling yourself please reach out you’re not weak for doing this and it’s the first step in getting help.
