I'm fundraising for a great cause!

Suicide awareness is a topic that is extremely close to my heart as some of you may know.

For those who don’t, my father lost his long battle with mental illness to suicide, which left not only my family and myself heartbroken & devastated, but also my extended family and lots of friends too. This left my beautiful mum taking care of 3 children all on her own.

In loving memory of my dad, i will be walking 100kms for the R U OK? foundation to raise awareness for people all around the world battling a heart wrenching battle with mental illness. 

9 Australians are lost to suicide EVERY DAY - 75% of which are males, that’s 9 too many. 65,000 Australians attempt suicide every years, that’s 65,000 too many. In 2022, we have unfortunately lost over 1,000 Australians to suicide according to current statistics, thats over 1,000 broken families, that’s over 1,000 too many. 

As someone who battles mental health, some days feel extremely hard, but tomorrow will be a new day with new opportunities, a new day to remind myself how beautiful this life I live is and how extremely lucky I am to have the greatest friends & family, who remind me how loved i truly am. 

My main goal is to spread awareness & to let people know that it’s okay to not be okay. If you would like to donate, that would mean the absolute world to me - all donations will go to the R U OK? foundation to continue to provide resources for those who are struggling.

Asking a simple question like “R U OK?” could save someone’s life, as no one knows what someone else is feeling, sometimes all someone needs is someone who will listen.
