R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide. Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life. By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.
Suicide prevention I'm sure means a lot to everyone, but it is particularly close to 2 young hearts. Bianca and Kiara lost their beautiful mum Karen to suicide last year. Karen had so much to live for, she adored her girls and her 5 grandchildren, she had lots of friends, she was fit and loved to run, but she was fighting an illness that was hard to see.
This page has been created as a tribute to Karen and as a beacon of hope in the fight against suicide.
