I'm fundraising for a great cause!

This July, I’m taking on the K’s for R U OK? challenge to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Every day I'll be clocking my k’s as I walk, jog or ride to help start more life-changing conversations.

About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.

For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.

89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.

I want to help change these numbers.

R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.

Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Your support helps R U OK? to provide essential free resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia, and empower them to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling.

Please support my efforts by donating, and together let's get everyone asking R U OK? starting conversations and changing lives!

My Updates

Week 3 and Week 4

Sunday 31st Jul
I am going to add another week, due to my covid-break!
I have completed 206 of my 300! Nearly there!!! :)

Its so important to find time to exercise! I have felt over this last month that the time I have got out and about I have felt so much better mentally. Clears the head so to speak!

Looking forward to updating you with my final REAL 4th week! :) Thanks for your support!

Week 2

Sunday 10th Jul
This week seemed hard to get away from the desk! But I managed to get some Ks in!
I was hopeful for some long walks on the beach, but Saturday morning came around and I started feeling off ☹️ COVID Test yesterday negative, so a short walk it was. Today,  still feeling unwell, so jumped on the treadmill, tested again tonight and I’m positive 😷 more treadmill for me this week, I won’t let it get me down!

240kms to go 60kms done! ✔️

Week 1

Sunday 3rd Jul
Well It's a short first week, but I'm pleased to have made a start. For the last two days I have been walking the length of the beach and back, with my dog oska (golden retriever) and my brother and sister-in-law’s dog Arnie (French bulldog). I have been enjoying getting beautiful fresh air! Looking forward to the week ahead! I hope you are all doing OK 😊👍
