The MBQ 'R U OK?' Day Album Launch

Help us raise awareness for mental health!

We, The Maddie Browne Quintet, have decided to fundraise for R U OK? to help spread their message and help raise awareness for mental health. 

The Maddie Browne Quintet's (MBQ's) debut album is called 'The Method & The Madness'. It explores the highs and lows of university life, and the mental health challenges and experiences that come along with it. Almost entirely original compositions by Maddie Browne, the album challenges listeners to start a conversation about mental health. 

To help raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, Maddie (and everyone involved in the event) has chosen to not only host the event at Brunswick Artists' Bar on R U OK? Day 2025 (September 11), but to donate 100% of profits from the album launch to the R U OK? foundation.

About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.

For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.

89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.

We want to help change these numbers.

R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide. 

Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.
