I'm fundraising for a great cause!

G'day Everybody! - '24hrs For a Purpose' partnered with Purpose Fitness Adelaide have decided to take on a 24hr physical challenge with a 'PURPOSE' to fundraise for R U OK? aiming to spread their message and help prevent suicide, and start conversations about mental health illness. 

Team Members: Miles, Josh, Rusty, Helen, Laura, Scott, Angela, Alex, Andre, Maverick, Jenna, Rob, Jess, Emma, Adam, Naomi, Bel, Catherine, Matthew & Tommy!

But firstly, some confronting Statistics:

 - Every Year approx. 3000 Australians take their lives through Suicide.

 - For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.

 - 15% of Australians will experience Depression in their lifetime.

 We want to help change these numbers.

 Our 'Team Physical Challenge' will consist of 3000 reps split across; Push-ups, Sit-ups and Squats, and 150km split across (Assault Bike, RowErg, and Run). These totals will be divided into 8 legs, with a leg completed every 3 hrs for 24hrs!!

 Hopefully by inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.
