DAY 2
Friday 3rd Jul Realised nice and easy that I can’t be walking 6kms around home, 159m elevation definitely had my legs hurting. There’s so many beautiful places near by that I can’t wait to discover and spend part of my day walking there. Mum came half the way today, my families support is so warming. 12 kms down, 174kms to go 👊🏽 Share
DAY 1
Wednesday 1st Jul

Why this challenge?
Sunday 28th JunMental health has been a subject that has touched my heart for many years now. I’ve suffered my own demons and have watched many of the people I love suffer too. This July I’m going to walk / run 6 kms a day to advocate for R U OK’s July challenge ‘Clock the K’s for RUOK?’ “It’s not about how fast or far you can go. It’s about connection, commitment and consistency”.
I’m doing this for myself, for my dad and for all the people in my life who have experienced their own struggles. I’m doing this for my uncle Paul and a number of family friends who thought suicide was their only option out. I’m doing this for the beautiful high school students in Geelong that we have lost in the last 7 or so months to suicide.
I’m here to advocate that it’s ok to not be ok and there are so many people out there willing to help. Reaching out can be the hardest thing but it’s worth it.
If there’s only one thing you take from this post please remember you are worth it and there’s help available 🦋✨
