I'm fundraising for a great cause!
At the beginning of 2025, I decided to make some big changes in my life and properly focus on myself, my health, and where I was heading.
Since then, training has become a huge part of who I am. What started as a way to stay focused has turned into marathons, half marathons, HYROX, swims, and constantly pushing myself towards bigger challenges.
Mental health has always been a huge part of my life and something I care deeply about. Over the past few years, I think more men are becoming aware of it, speaking about it more, and understanding how important it really is. That matters even more in construction, where long hours, pressure, and tough environments can really take a toll.
Last year I completed Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney, and this year I’ve signed up for the full Ironman Port Macquarie in October.
Training for this while working long hours in construction in Australia hasn’t been easy — early mornings, late nights, sometimes two sessions a day, and trying to fit everything around work and weekends — but that’s exactly why this means so much to me.
This challenge is about more than just fitness.
It’s about pushing myself, proving what I’m capable of, and showing what consistency, discipline, and purpose can do.
More importantly, I want to use this challenge to raise money and awareness for mental health, particularly within construction, where I know how important it is.
Having my family coming over to Australia to watch me take this on makes it mean even more. To have the people closest to me there for something I’ve worked so hard towards gives this challenge a whole other level of purpose.
This Ironman is one of the biggest personal challenges I’ve taken on, but if it can also help support a cause that means a lot to me and maybe make a difference to someone else, then it gives it even more purpose.
Thanks to anyone who supports me or donates — it genuinely means a lot.
