Creative Writing Masterclass Fundraiser for R U OK? Day
It's not always easy to maintain conversation when someone says that they're not okay. Whenever we ask "how are you today", we always get answers like "not bad" or "not too bad"... and if anyone ever says "it's been a tough one", many of us try to veer away from the conversation.
Everyone out there is fighting their own battles and as high schoolers, we know that the day to day challenges of school assessments, sporting commitments and exams can be really overwhelming. Keeping up with homework (both school and tutoring) whilst living a healthy lifestyle isn't always easy.
Let's make sure that our friends don't suffer in silence. If you know someone who doesn't seem like they're being themselves, reach out, have a chat and help them feel supported.
On Thursday the 8th of September from 5:30PM to 7:30PM, I'll be running a Creative Writing Masterclass . I'll be teaching you about some of the main elements of doing well in Creative Writing Assignments. You'll also get to see some exemplary student samples that might inspire you when your own assessment tasks roll around.
For every student who attends, I will match their $10 donation. That means that $20 per attendee will go towards supporting those who are generally struggling with their mental health.
