I'm fundraising for a great cause!

Kaya and I have decided to take on the 'K's for R U OK in July' together to support and build awareness.

We both will work towards 5km a week to reach 20km.  Resulting in a 40km end result.

We have also decided to construct a survey to ask a diverse range of people, starting with family and friends on their understanding of the  phrase "OK' 

Please share the survey and ask others around you.

We as a team want to spread the R U OK message and help prevent suicide.

About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.

For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.

89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.

I want to help change these numbers.

R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.

Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

First day of Km's . First thoughts whilst walking.

Sunday 2nd Jul
Still learning how to navigate uploading evidence of my km's. 
First day,  30min-2.18km .
Lets see if I can do this 3-4 times this week. 
The first day is always the hardest, when making a shift or change in the everyday world.
Remember to make realistic expectations. 
Meet your goals or succeed past them where you can.
Be kind to yourself.
Together is the better future.
