We have decided to fundraise for R U OK? to help spread their message and help prevent suicide.
About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.
For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.
89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.
We want to help change these numbers.
R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.
Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.
By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Bruce Rock CRC to Host R U OK? Community Breakfast
Wednesday 27th AugThe Bruce Rock Community Resource Centre (CRC) alongside the Shire of Bruce Rock and the Bruce Rock Police are inviting farmers, families, and locals to come together for a hearty breakfast this R U OK? Day, offering a moment to pause, connect, and check in with one another. The free community breakfast will be held at the Bruce Rock CRC on Thursday the 11th of September 2025 from 7:30 am, with hot coffee, bacon and egg rolls, and plenty of good conversation on the menu.
CRC Events & Projects Manager Kalani Rice-Fazey said the event is about looking after each other at a time when stress levels can run high. “Harvest is a huge time for our farmers. Before the long hours kick in, we wanted to create a relaxed space where people can enjoy a meal together and remind each other that it’s okay to ask for help. Sometimes, a simple ‘R U OK?’ can open up the most important conversation of the season,” she said.
The event is free and open to everyone in the community. Farmers are especially encouraged to bring along their neighbours and workmates for a well-earned catch-up.
