In memory of...
On January of 2008, we lost our Uncle Andy to 'the darkness' & devastatingly again in August of 2021, my beautiful Poppy decided to take his own life as well. I never imagined that my family would have to endure not one but the deaths of two men we absolutely adored to the darkness.
Every day 8 Australians take their own life. I believe that’s 8 too many.
I have started this page both as a tribute to a loved one lost and as a beacon of hope in the fight against suicide.
R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide. Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.
Reach out to those they love and adore and check-in and say 'Love you long time' and have a quick chat. We as a family want to prevent this absolute waste of another extraordinary man from happening to another family. We have now lost two, which is still unimaginable.
