Mental health and suicide is something I hold very close to my heart.
I want everyone to know that it’s okay to feel the way that you feel. Don’t ever let anyone take that from you.
There are too many people in this world that feel they can’t speak about their mental health. Too many people afraid to open up that door. Too many people scared of being judged and I want to do my part in changing that.
So I have decided to fundraise for R U OK? to help spread their message and help prevent suicide.
I have been growing my dreads for 5 years straight now and although it has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a while I was never quite ready to let them go. My dreads alone have been a big part of me and my journey in life. Only the people who really know me understand the significance of cutting them off and know that if I ever did, it would be for a good cause.
So in September I’m finally going to give them the big CHOP! to help raise awareness around mental health and suicide.
I have set my goal to $4700 as I have exactly 47 dreads but any donations will be much appreciated!
