13th March 2027. 100 Miles. 24 Hours. One Question: R U OK?

Growing up I was the person who always had a smile on his face, trying to be friendly and upbeat. The one everyone assumed was doing fine but behind that I was completely lost. I questioned my worth. I had no direction and no idea how to ask for help, so I didn't and just sucked it up at fear of looking weak. Nobody knew the intense battle I had with depression and anxiety along with feeling my whole world was falling apart, I didn't know how to change that.

R U OK exists for exactly these moments, two seconds of courage from one person to another that can mean everything. If a few more people had of asked me back then, things might have looked very different in my teenage years to early 20's.

I’m running through the day and night alongside my best mate so that question reaches more people. So that the person who looks fine on the outside gets asked anyway and so that everyone knows they have someone who loves and cares about them. No one has to go through this journey alone, you are enough and you are loved.

No pressure to donate, just asking the question or being a shoulder to cry on when someone is doing it tough is more than enough.

If my story even helps one soul find peace and realise that they too are worthy of love, care and all their dreams then this crazy task ahead will all be worth it.
