In our workplace we do our best to look out for our colleagues and check in on each other regularly.
About 8 people take their own lives in Australia every day.
For every death, it’s estimated another 30 people will attempt suicide.
89% of people report knowing somebody who has made an attempt.
We want to help change these numbers.
R U OK?’s vision is of a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide. Their mission is to inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling with life.
By inspiring people to take the time to ask, “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people who are struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Sat 12th Dry Tri Event - Hedland
Thursday 10th Sep
On Saturday 12 September, we’ll be hosting our SoulYard Dry Tri – Row, Ride, Run, a fun and inclusive fitness challenge designed to bring our members, local businesses and the wider Hedland community together while raising awareness around the importance of checking in with those around us. 4km Row 8km Bike 2km Run Participants will be able to compete solo, pairs or in a team of 4. Each team is encouraged to self fundraise leading up to the event. We are having a raffle to raise funds for R U OK Day and also a bbq and bake sale with the community on the day. Any donation will go direct to this very worthy cause. |
